Meal Prep On A Double Budget! (Recipe Included)
Meal prep, for some people it’s the bane of their existence.
And in my Body Consulting Experience, it is one of the main factors between failure with a transformation attempt and being able to have sex with the lights on.
If you get this wrong you’re:
- Going to be stressed AF when it comes to your food
- Fall back into bad habits and make poor food choices
- Feel like you’re stuck in rut when it comes to transforming your body
If you get this right you’re:
- Going to be at complete ease when it comes to the food that you eat
- Create awesome habits that lead to better food choices
- Excel when it comes to transforming your body
And like I said before it’s going to help you look good naked and if you’re reading this blog and have been following us for a while that’s what we help people do (among other things)
So yeah, it is pretty important.
Now to the first of objections when it comes to eating healthy.
“But Jack it’s SOOOOO EXPENSIVE to eat healthy I hear you scream”
Bull. Fucking. Shit.
That kinda victim mentality is why so many people never actually change when it comes to their efforts in the gym
And, as I’m about to show you is very, very affordable when done correctly.
Let’s now talk about complexity.
I don’t know how people make this so hard, I mean, it is really really easy.
I don’t possess any culinary skills whats so ever and still manage to put together master pieces just like this on the regular.
To crush those two limiting beliefs around meal prep I’m going to give you an example of what I just prepared, I’ll break down the time it took and the cost of everything just so you’ve got an example of something that you can duplicate for yourself.
I call this crazy creation ‘Supercharged Skippy’
Here’s all the ingredients for your viewing pleasure
The reason for this is that it has a whole bunch of ‘superfoods’
And by superfoods I mean the ingredients below
Kangaroo mince = $7.99 for the kilo
2 Onions = $0.39
1 capsicum = $1.09
1 Broccoli = $3.99
2 tins of tomato = $1.98
1 clove of garlic = $1.99
5 plastic containers = $2.75
We’ll get back to the total cost
But the instructions are super simple
- Cut everything up like so
- Fry the onions and garlic
- Take out and put into another bowl
- Fry the mince
- Add the onion and garlic
- Add everything else
- Add sauce
- Simmer for 15 minutes
- Put into containers
The grand total cooking and prep time is no longer than half an hour
Now back to the cost thaaaaaang:
We’ve got a total of: 7.99 + 0.39 +1.09 + 3.99 + 1.98 + 3.99 + 2.75
Which equals $20.18.
20 DOLLARS and 20 CENTS
YES I AM YELLING
BECAUSE IT’S REALLY NOTHING
It’s the same as I spend on my coffee addiction during the week
(triple shot coffees do start to add up – sad face.
That is it.
Now depending on your size and your nutritional requirements this could do up to 10 meals.

If you’re a smaller female who doesn’t require a lot of food you’ve easily got 10 meals with a big dose of protein, veggies and fibre to keep you full and the cravings at bay.
10 meals, for 20 bucks, that’s like 2 dollars a meal.
And if you’re a fellow bro in the quest of adding lean muscle this could make 5 meals with 40g of protein which is going to keep your protein synthesising* all day long**

So as you can see from the example it can be really easy.
Oh another objection I hear you yell at me subconsciously through your phone screen
‘Eating the same thing every day is boring’
Well here’s a truth bomb for you.
If I said eat the same chocolate / ice cream / sweet food every day I can bet that you would do that no problem
But when I encourage you to eat some food that’s going to nourish your body, help with your digestion, keep you fuller for longer and pretty much make you a superhero you’re all hands up with objections.
However, I’m not going to go out without a fight.
So, for this reason, you can do it over and over again.
All you need to do is swap out the protein source
Would all work well here.
And then you swap out some of the veggies.
Instead of broccoli you could do zucchini or eggplant
Instead of capsicum, you could do carrot.
The possibilities are endless.
