5 Step Festive Season Survival Guide – Step Five (Goals)
Kick some goals this summer!
Not just down on the beach playing soccer, but also continuing on with your health, fitness & wellness goals.
Presenting the fifth and final step:
That’s right, set some goals!
It should not be a once a year affair; It should be a continuous process.
The difference between achieving success or not can simply come down to goals.
If you don’t have any goals to keep you accountable, then you will have a tough time staying consistent & getting results.
You should already have some goals.
Now it’s time time update them & even change them.
If you only set goals once a year (New year’s resolution perhaps?) you’re not going to accomplish much.
Don’t be like everyone else who waits til January 1st to set goals, just because they think it will be harder to achieve them over the holidays.
Don’t wait for it, Go for it!
Set some big goals that you can start working on during the holidays!
Set a goal to lose that 5kg over the next 3 months.
Start training with weights 3-4 times a week.
Start prepping healthy meals to have on the go.
If you truly want it you will start now.
You don’t have to be great to start, but you do have to start in order to be great.
If you are already smashing your goals, why not set yourself some short term goals to keep on track for December & January?
For example, keep up your regular training sessions.
You know you will be eating & drinking more during these times so exercise to balance the extra consumption becomes even more important.
You may even look at this period as time to maintain rather than improve your health.
Maintaining is preferable to going backwards, plus you will be poised to strike back when you return from your break…Ready to go & reinvigorated for 2017!
